Benefits of Meditation

In our hectic world, this hour long adventure calms the mind and spirit, and allows the body to feel whole and vibrant.

Meditation lowers blood pressure and reduces anxiety.

Meditation offers you a way to truly see your mind and heart.

Meditation helps reduce anger and frustration.

Meditation promotes compassion and mindfulness: great tools to relate to the world we live in.

About the Practice

We practice three traditions of Meditation:

Zen (Japanese)

Tiep Hein (Order of Interbeing)

Taoist (Chinese)

We use Sitting, Standing, Walking and Lying-down, Silent and Guided Meditation from these traditions to offer a wide variety for everyone to partake.

“Our life asks us this question: Who are you and what are you doing here? Meditation offers you a practice of intimate investigation that is itself the answer to these questions”
-Myo-O: FEMA Mediation Teacher, Ordained Soto Zen Buddhist Priest, and Chaplain.

“Make time to learn about your true self, help this planet be a better place.”
- Shifu Kore’ Grate: FEMA Meditation Teacher and Head Instructor.

All ages welcome! No experience needed.

Dress comfy and bring a pillow to sit on.

Cost is $5-$10 (Dana) Donation
